Formulation Specialist/Lab Support

The Formulation Specialist portion of this role supports the nutritional and sales staff to provide superior customer service. Primary responsibilities require the utilization of formulation software and Microsoft’s Office suite to maintain customer ingredients and diet formulations. Daily tasks include the set-up of ingredients and nutrient profiles, formulation of premixes and complete feeds, as directed by a nutritionist, and preparation of customer documents such as budgets, ingredient usage, break-even costs, feed tags and other client needs. This role is part of a multi-specie team of formulation specialists.

The Lab Support portion of this role provides lab services to clients to help ensure an understanding of the quality and safety of the ingredients being used in feed formulations.  In this role, NIR, Mycotoxin, and Particle Size testing using the appropriate technical equipment and instruments provide nutrient analysis of ingredients to ensure accurate and precise feed formulations are fed to the animal.  Daily tasks include sample reception, preparation, and processing, including calculating and reporting test results.
